All Pre-1700 profiles require Reliable Sources. Projects can provide more details for sources that are reliable for the location/timeframe.

You might find the Netherlands Project Reliable Sources helpful.

Also note that any source requires sufficient information so that someone else can find the source. For example see Van_der_Pijl-117

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your fast help!

Kind regards from the Netherlands

Hey Jeff,

Thanks for your work on our tree. I see you have been adding profiles to my ancestors. Can you please make sure to add primary sources to those profiles? I have been doing a lot of work looking for the primary sources of them and would like to keep this part of the tree well maintained. I also notice you work on many countries at the same time.

See eg Maarten Ariensz van Rijn (1732-1787) and Jacoba van Beijen (abt.1742-1799)

Please let me know if you need help in studying the sourcing manual, see it here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources

Thanks, Michel

Hello Michel - I have added sourcing to Maarten Ariensz van Rijn and Jacoba van Beijen. I do not have a primary source for birth/christening for Jacoba van Beijen. Please let me know if you have any ideas on a source for that. Thanks!

I have granted you trusted access to these two profiles. Thanks.

Hello Jeff,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

P.P.S. Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.
